Holiday season is here! (at least for photographers!)
While everybody is still getting ready for Trick-or-Treating, it’s also a perfect time to have family portraits so there’s no last-minute stress! Just sharing a recent session.
I know you all wanted to see more of my fabulous mini-day-bed ![]()

And the happy family:

And this borders on “total cheese” photgoraphy instead of “fine art”, but how CUTE is it now and how special will this be when he’s all grown up? I love it!

And little sister:

The newest addition to the studio (that would be the car, not the kid! hahah!).

Have a Happy Halloween!

Sneak Peak!
I usually have good intentions about getting a sneak-peak of my sessions up on the blog. But I rarely get around to actually doing it BEFORE the family sees their proofs. So these are my favorites from a recent newborn session. The classic black backdrop and a beautiful baby girl.

Mom wanted to capture all those tiny hairs on her shoulders. This doesn’t even really show you well but on a larger print you could see tons of those little newborn hairs (called lunago…I think?)

And finally, fell asleep at the end of the session:

A photo of the photographer!
Did you all notice the new picture of myself up on the “About” section of my website? Probably not! LOL, but that’s ok, I am going to share the new image right here. Don’t read the text on the about section though, I need to completey re-write it! Haha! My lovely assistant Adam (that’s actually my husband, LOL, being a little sarcastic here, although he is lovely!) helped me take this portrait before the kids got out of bed in the morning a little while ago. It’s tough to find time to take a picture of yourself! I probably should have had this for the site a long time ago
And here it is:

Pumpkin Patch in Gardner, Kansas
Recently we went to the Gardner pumpkin patch (KC Pumpkin Patch). It’s the only pumpkin patch in Kansas City that we have tried out so far, but I’ve been happy with it! I especially think it’s great for portraits
My intention was to take some photos of our youngest that would be similar to picutures of our daughter from a couple years ago when she was this same toddler age. I am so pleased with these pictures! And that probably means you’ll be seeing them all over the place! LOL - in my house, on my site, maybe my next portrait purse or something! Enjoy!

Finally, he showed some interest in the pumpkins (below):

Here, he is watching the tractor drive the people out to the pumpkin patch:

He did get a lot of compliments on his little blazer! I will give credit to BabyGap for creating the perfect pumpkin patch jacket
Hope you all are getting a chance to have some pumpkin patch fun this year!

Rescheduling Mini-Session for Nov 3
October 20 didn’t work out for very many of you! So we’re rescheduling for Nov 3, which seems to be working for more of you
And that gives you more time to shop for those holiday outfits that can be a little tricky to find in early October. It’s not too late to sign up. All details the same. Email me with any questions.
